The Sorter element spatially sorts Data elements from right (EAST) to left (WEST). This is done by examining the 2×2 regions to its upper and lower left. If a Data with a lower value than itself is in the upper window, it moves it down and to the left. If a Data with a higher value than itself is in the lower window, it moves it up and to the right.
